Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Glass
  • 1 Bar Spoon
  • 1 Hawthorne Strainer
  • 1 Coupe Glass (chilled)

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Rye Whiskey
  • ¾ ounce Sweet Vermouth
  • ½ ounce Bénédictine
  • 3 dashes Absinthe
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry (garnish)

Instructions

  • To a mixing glass filled with ice, add 2 ounces of Rye Whiskey, ¾ ounce of Sweet Vermouth, ½ ounce of Bénédictine, 3 dashes of Absinthe, and 3 dashes of Peychaud's Bitters.
  • Stir until well chilled and strain into a chilled Coupe glass.
  • Garnish with a Maraschino cherry.
