Black Manhattan

Things aren’t always so black and white in the Manhattan cocktail world.

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Glass
  • 1 Hawthorne Strainer
  • 1 Bar Spoon
  • 1 Cocktail Glass

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Rye Whiskey
  • 1 ounce Averna Amaro
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters
  • 1 Brandied Cherry (garnish)

Instructions

  • To a mixing glass filled with ice, add 2 ounces of Rye Whiskey, 1 ounce Averna Amaro, 1 dash of Angostura Bitters, and 1 dash of Orange Bitters.
  • Stir until well chilled.
  • Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with a brandied cherry.
