Jack Rose

With homemade grenadine, fresh lemon juice, bourbon, and a glug of Applejack, the Jack Rose is sure to be the new apple of your eye.
Servings: 1 Cocktail

Equipment

  • 1 Cocktail Shaker
  • 1 Cocktail Glass (chilled)

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Apple Brandy
  • ½ ounce Bourbon
  • ¾ ounce Lemon Juice
  • ½ ounce Grenadine
  • 1 twist Lemon

Grenadine

  • 2 cups Pomegranate Juice
  • cups Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Pomegranate Molasses

Instructions

  • To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 ounce of Apple Brandy, ½ ounce of Bourbon, ¾ ounce of Lemon juice, and ½ ounce of Grenadine.
  • Shake together until well chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled Cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist.

Grenadine

  • Add 2 cups of Pomegranate juice and 1½ cups of sugar to a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir for about 5 minutes, add 4 tbsps of Pomegranate Molasses, and then continue to stir.
  • Once the sugar is all dissolved, remove the mixture from the heat and let cool.

Notes

  • The homemade grenadine can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
