A bitter bourbon cocktail that's hard to shake.

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Glass
  • 1 Bar Spoon
  • 1 Hawthorne Strainer
  • 1 Cocktail Glass (chilled)

Ingredients

  • 1½ ounces Bourbon
  • ¾ ounce Campari
  • ¾ ounce Sweet Vermouth
  • 3 dashes Chocolate Bitters
  • 1 Brandied Cherry (garnish)

Instructions

  • To a mixing glass filled with ice, add 1 ½ ounces of Bourbon, ¾ ounce of Campari, ¾ ounce of Sweet Vermouth, and 3 dashes of Chocolate Bitters.
  • Stir until well chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with a brandied cherry.
